Some cards from me - At long last!

I havent really been doing any crafting this week, I have attempted to finish a cross stitch cover kit of Eeyore (A christmas design) but still not even finished that! Anyway, some new cards from me!

The first one, I found a christmas tree made of spools of cotton, which I though would be great for a stitchy friend! I have used a piece of A5 red card from my papermill stash, and mounted the cross stitched piece on a bit of marbled green card, attached a few red paper embelleshments, and some of the green ribbon that I got in my Goody Bag, and finished it off with a green 'Merry Christmas' peel off. Not to bad me thinks, not one of my best, but not bad!

The second card, is another cross stitch cover kit! I quite like Lumpy, he is really cute! He is from Winnie the Pooh, incase you didnt know! For this card again, ive used some hammered effect A5 card from my stash, mounted Lumpy onto some purple paper, and added a few peel off stars. I thought I couldnt use this as a christmas card, so its a birthday card. I have added a strip of ribbon that was gifted to me by Lynn, and added a metal/fabric flower.

Next card, I have coloured a Magnolia stamped image using Reeves watercolour pencils, mounted on blue & burgandy card, added a few peel of stars, and some rope ribbon, a bit of sparkle and a 'Merry Christmas' peel off. Not one of my favs again, but hey!

And finally, a Lili of the Valley die cut fairy card! I have used another piece of red card from my stash, cut two triangles from the Merry Christmas backing papers (One blues, the other red and green) and added a bit of organza ribbon. I have added 2 clear zooms, and a Lili of the Valley sentiment to the centre.

Anyway, I doubt I will get much crafting done this weekend, we are meant to be going to Swindon for one of Alex's friends house party! Should be interesting, as he recons we will be driving home at 2am, something which I doubt! I plan to join a few challenges soon as my card stash is getting a little bit bigger, and its pay day on Monday YIPPEE!

TTFN xx

The card I have made for my mum...

Orange and yellow are her favourite colours, so I decided to base the card around these colours which I havent tried before. I am quite pleased with the result actually, although the tags are a bit streaky from my printer, but I still think it looks great (Ok, so I am bigging myself up but I am impressed :D)

Once again everything that is on the card (Minus the green piece of ribbon and Magnolia Stamp) are printed from Creative Park. I have coloured Tilda in using Reeves watercolour pencils and used a tiny bit of glitter for the candle. For the insert, I have printed the 3 presents at the bottom right hand corner and put this - When it comes to mothers, there are lots of them about, but you are the very very best, of that there is no doubt!

A new card for me :)

I have decided to take part in one of the challenges on Tilda & Co Blog - Challenge No 37, On a Budget - Something which I am until tomorrow! Here is what I have come up with

Total cost:
Card stock x3: 45p

Paper x1: 0.4p
Adhesive Gem: 0.5p
Total: 0.54p

I printed the background paper, flower, ribbon borders and tags from Creative Park for free (They are actually scrapbook papers, but they have some lovely stuff on there!). I Used a piece of hammer effect A5 card folded in half for the actual card itself, and coloured the Magnolia image in using watercolour pencils. Tah Dah, One card! Im quite impressed with it actually!

A week has passed...

And I have managed to do quite a bit this week!

I got a lovely parcel from Lynn from Stamping Mad forum - I cant thank her enough! :)

I want to 'Big Up' Creative Park and Freecycle! I needed a printer, and put an advert on Freecycle, and the following evening I picked up a Lexmark All in one Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax! Well impressed (Apart from the ink costing a fortune!) Then, to test my printer, I found the Canon Scrapbook website, which has some FAB background papers and tags!

Alex has been out tonight, and I have managed to get these done:

They are both on white 'Hammered' card, and all the embelleshments are from Creative Park. I have added a bit of glitter on both cards, and stamped some little shiny stars on the second card using a whiskars stamp. The images are both coloured in using Reeves watercolour pencils.
