A Christmas wreath and finishing projects!

I saw this brilliant tutorial whilst browsing for wreath ideas, and had all the materials in so thought I would give it a shot! After cutting out almost 150 circles by hand and pressing them all in to the polystyrene base, my fingers are glad that it is finished! I am quite chuffed with how it worked out actually and it will take pride place on the front door of our new house! :) Eeeeeek, yes I am excited!

So Alex is away this week in London so I have not much planned for this week. But do have a few things on my list to finish. First being Gracie's frozen dress. Then to decide on how to finish the tops off. I am thinking some white feather boa type stylie possibly.

Years ago, I started a cross stitch of a Yorkshire Terrier, I am going to finish that, and that will be giving to my Nan for Christmas in a nice frame. I am trying to be frugalish this Christmas. With moving house (Hopefully!!) and wanting having to buy lots of new stuff, pennies are going to be tight for me this year!

So, last week, I made a quick visit to Edinburgh to see Lawrence and Harry. Although it felt really strange, going to Mums but not seeing Mum, I am glad I did it and didn't leave it too long. It was lovely to spend a bit of time with my Brother, doing a bit of shopping up town. Then to see how beautiful Mums memorial looked. Lawrence does keep it lovely, fresh flowers when its needed ect.

I saw some lovely small sun flowers that I just needed to get Mum. Her favorite colour is yellow, and they were bright and cheery, so it was a must! We also took a trip down to St Columbas, the new Hospice that is about 10 minutes from where Lawrence and Harry stay. Overwhelming, but it was something out of this world. So modern, open and bright! The builders have done a brilliant job with creating this new place.

Here's a few pics from my trip

Our little break away...

We had a little break away to Sicily! A last minute decision, we had already booked the week off work but hadn't decided on what to do or where to go. After a few hours searching, we decided on Sicily! Here are a few pics from our trip!

^The blue/turquoise sea! The water was sooo clear! Unlike the brown crappy water we have here!

^ This was at Reserva di capo Gallo - a nature reserve. Beautiful place!

^ We visited Monreale Cathedral. Amazing mosaics! Huge place!

This was the view from our balcony. We stayed in the Bel 3 hotel in Palermo. Hotel was nice, clean, people were friendly. What more could you ask for! :)

SP: Thank you cards

When I saw these cards in the Silhouette Store, I had to have them. They are really quick and easy to put together and look lovely if you make them with coordinating papers. They stand about 4" square and are tent fold with a bottom flap so that they stand up. The designer papers I have used come from First Edition paper pads.

Dresses!

I am making my nieces a 'Frozen' inspired dress each!

Its my first time using tulle material, but I am mega impressed with the outcome. These two dresses are yet to be finished, need to add some straps, more tulle (Am going to add white strips on the top), snowflakes, ribbon, then I am going to sparkle them using glitter.

Kelly & James's big day!

Some of you may know, I made the wedding stationary for Kelly and James's big day!

My Silhouette Cameo was well up for the job :) Here are some pics from her magical day!

It was an honour to do the stationary and to be a guest at the wedding. The day was beautiful, it was my first time at The Carriage Hall in Plumtree. And the rain held off too! A lovely day for a lovely couple! :)
